Viol-Secours is a Centre for Assistance and Combating Sexual Assault (CALACS) that has been working in the community since August 1976. The organization was created as part of a "Canada Works" project that led to the creation of rape crisis centres, of which it was one of the first organizations. In 1986, the organization added to its expertise a medical on-call system that could respond to all requests for intervention with victims of sexual assault. The organization's mission is to help women who are victims of sexual assault and to fight on a daily basis against this social problem. Translated with (free version)
